Snape: The Home Fries Nazi by pir8fancier (NC-17)

Hi, I'm [livejournal.com profile] delmar_slashers and I'll be the Harry Potter driver for this month. All my recs will be slash. My favorite pairings are: Harry/Snape and Ron/Draco, so expect a few of them. Here's the first one.

Fandom: HARRY POTTER
Pairing: Snape/Harry
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] pir8fancier
Author Website: Stories by Pir8fancier at Walking the Plank

Why this must be read: because the author takes the Snape we've known for years and turns him into a Muggle cook. However, don't let that and the title throw you off, this is an amazing story.

The raw emotions between Harry and Snape, the setting, original characters and finally the absolutely-not-a-fucking-cliche-in-sight, beautiful plot will blow you away. I never thought I'd buy Snape as the owner of a greasy diner, but this author pulls it off -- brilliantly. Harry as a lost soul who comes to Snape, his enemy, for help...if this story doesn't move you, I don't know what will.

Great story to rec!

Besides everything else I loved in this story, I loved Harry falling in with the local 'cholos'. He suffered, with them, under Snape, so he was one of them.

Fantastic story to rec.

I love this story. In fact I can't believe it hasn't been rec'd before. Amazing story, absolutely blew me away.

This is divine intervention. I haven't read HP fic in months, but with everything starting up again next month, I was looking for some fic to get back into it, but had forgotten all my old haunts.

And lo, upon my fl, slash was discovered, and it was Snarry, and it was good.

This has been my favorite Snarry AU since I first read it. Good choice!

I never thought I'd buy Snape as the owner of a greasy diner,

I don't buy it, and the story is still absolutely gripping. Gorgeously written. I'm astonished it hasn't been recced here before. Good first pick. :-)

A truly wonderful rec. Just reread HP 6 in preparation for July 21st, and I was really in the mood for this Snape, the one we see in the books, but post-war, with Harry.
Ah bless.
