Revelation, by Rebelcat - PG

Fandom: STARSKY & HUTCH
Pairing: GEN
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] myrebelcat

Why this must be read:

This story is not in Rebel's usual comic style, but it's wonderful just the same. It captures so well the strength of these characters, their ability to pick themselves up and keep going, how they support each other. It also has a fascinating OC.

Thank you so much for this rec! I love this story - it's still my favorite of all the ones I've written, and it's wonderful to see it get some attention. :-)

Thought this was a great story, so thought I'd kill two birds with one stone (so to speak) and thank both author and reccer! I do like the original character here - very much so - and although I was afraid the story might turn "hokey" at the end, it really didn't. I thought it was handled extremely well, and the August heat simmering through the whole piece gave it a sense of heaviness and weight that definitely added to the feeling of exhaustion the boys were going through.

Thanks!!

PS You know, this is just an aside, but "revelation" is one of those words that makes my brain turn off. Every time I read it I want to say "relevation". *g*

Oh, thank you! I'm very glad to hear that you didn't find the story hokey. I really wanted to leave the interpretation of the events up to the reader, and keep everything well grounded in the realm of the plausible. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Also, while I don't have any difficulty with "revelation", I do get completely befuddled by "aluminum". I always want to say "alumininum". And then the Brits say "aluminium" which just messes me up more. ;-)
