Star Wars/Atlantis (PG)
Fandom: STAR WARS/ATLANTIS
Title: The Dark Side by Astolat
Pairing: John/Rodney
Author on LJ:

Author Website: Fanfic by Shalot
Why this must be read: I have very high standards for crossovers. Both fandoms must be handled well, and the crossover mechanism must be both intrinsic to the story/universe and not cheesy. Star Wars is one of the hardest fandoms to successfully crossover, imho, simply because it has no connection with any other frame of reference that another fandom might be using.
This crossover works.
astolat has taken the characters of Atlantis and made them SW characters with amazing success. And if you don't think Rodney could be a plausible Jedi without a lot of changes to his character ... read this and think again. This story has all the McShep snarkiness, plus all the Star Wars mysticism, and it is a gem to read.
