Paranoia by Francesca (NC17)
Fandom: THE SENTINEL
Pairing: Jim and Blair
Author on LJ: cesperanza (LJ resolutely refuses to accept this user name for some reason.)
Author's Website: Francesca's Sentinel Fiction
Why this must be read: I hesitated before posting another story from this writer who's been recc'd so many times before, but this is so delicious I couldn't help myself.
Francesca opens the story with an apology; 'a charming throwback to my earlier style.' I have no idea why - I love this story, i think it's one of her best.
Jim starts to realise that Blair's constant trips to ER have roots in something more sinister than simple 'trouble magnestism'.
A great story and the slash is white hot!

Jim starts to realise that Blair's constant trips to ER have roots in something more sinister than simple 'trouble magnestism'.
"I can help, let me help," Blair whispered.
Jim swallowed hard. "How can you help?"
And he knew the answer even before Blair tilted his head up and kissed him — he'd known somehow, he'd known that this was where they were going, where they'd been going all along. Despite everything.
Because playing against Blair was a sucker's game.
Because Blair had all the moves.
And Blair's mouth tasted incredibly sweet — his mouth was wet and sweet like the fruit he remembered from his childhood — fruit that you ate in the summer that was so much better than anything you could buy nowadays.
A great story and the slash is white hot!
