Why this must be read:
This is one of the most viscerally evocative fics I've ever read; even now, nine, ten, eleven reads later, it still never fails to give me full-body chills. The moment I read the summary line -- there's a body in the back seat -- I could hear it in my head like the final tagline of a movie trailer, a small child's voice whispering over a black screen.
Set post-"Devil's Trap," the Impala's been passed on to a new owner, but some old ghosts still travel with her. And the Winchester family history comes back around one final time.
