Miscellaneous Johnny Depp movies: An Overview
Hi, I'm Mojave Dragonfly and I'm driving the van this month for fandoms so small, I have to combine them into something called Miscellaneous Johnny Depp movies.
The incomparable Johnny Depp: sexy, youthful, vulnerable, outsider. And how we love him! His movies, however, rarely inspire fervent, active fandoms. According to IMDB, he has starred in nearly forty movies, and that's not even counting 21 Jump Street, the TV show that launched his career into superstardom.
Some of us (show of hands!) make it a goal to see every one of his movies, and a few of us write fanfiction for a few of his movies. This month I will give you recommendations for stories, some of which are not only good recs, but the only story I know of in existence for that movie. *g*
Obviously, PotC is exempt. The popularity of Mr. Depp's pirate movies is the exception that proves the rule that his movies don't inspire fandoms. Another exception is Once Upon A Time in Mexico, a modestly-sized fandom that I gave recs for once before.
The movies I will be reccing stories for, if you want to study up, are:

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Edward Scissorhands
From Hell
Nick of Time
Ninth Gate
Secret Window
Sleepy Hollow

I don't really have any other SH recs -- the gen's thin on the ground, the het's nonexistent, and I don't buy any of the Ichabod/(insert name) pairings -- but I always keep my eyes open.
