Insatiable by Caro Dee (NC-17)

Fandom: THE SENTINEL
Pairing: Jim/Blair
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] carodee
Author Website: Caro Dee’s Insatiable Site

Why this must be read: One of the first fics I read in the fandom, Insatiable really explores the limits of a sentinel’s abilities. His abilities, that is, to get off in the most shameless and outrageous of ways on any sensory experience he encounters.

This story is dirty and hot and hilarious and I laughed so many times -- but while you’re distracted and having fun, Caro Dee is quietly turning the tables on you, turning the story around without your even realising. She wields pathos like a stealth weapon with only subtle hints of growing darkness until you suddenly find yourself unsettled and disturbed because you’ve entertained yourself by watching someone’s gradual slide into mental illness. Simply extraordinary writing.

During sex, I'm risking a zone-out if I raise the dials too high. So I keep the dials low, and the sex is only slightly better than normal. But as a Sentinel, I'm capable of unimaginable pleasure. What just happened is proof of that. The only problem is...

I can only release my control if my guide anchors me. Only with Sandburg. It'll only ever happen with Sandburg. Sandburg's straight.

This could get a little tricky.

Still, I'm thinking... 'Bang! Holy Grail Time.'

Though this story can be read on its own, it’s the first part of a series and you’ll want to read them all.

Insatiable

With impeccable timing, I’ll be away next week in a place that probably has no internet access. I’ll make up the lost ground with more recs on my return.

Just a reminder that the subject line should read "Story name by Author name". Thanks.
