Why this must be read: Stargate is about amazing friendships at it's core. This story is an absolutely beautiful exploration of the friendship between Daniel and Sam and Jack. Sam and Jack need to fly. Daniel doesn't quite understand it. This is the story of Daniel trying to understand. The characterization is fantastic and Daniel's observations are wonderful. A lovely, lovely story.
