Why this must be read:

Zeke Black produces some of the best characterised and descriptive pieces out there, and that comes from an encyclopaedic knowledge of the show. I always know that when I go to the site to read the fic it's going to be well-written, and with the tendency towards angst, a little heartbreaking sometimes. This one probably falls under very heartbreaking, but it all evens out in the end with a warm ending.

Ah - I was wondering when you were going to get to this one. I have to admit - I love Zeke Black's works even though they are not Chris/Vin. I love the way she winds Vin through the stories, with him somewhat confused and disapproving at first but slowly, and mostly in this story, coming to terms with what's between Chris and Ez. And this piece is particularly poignant for all of them. I love the way Zeke Black projects the future of the characters and the support that Chris provides for Ezra and that same time he's having his seeing the pain.

Excellent choice.
