Why this must be read: This story is Wilson in a nutshell, the way he is seen by others and the way he wants to be seen. We see him with Cameron as she fights with the idea of lust vs love, him with Cuddy as she worries about him and offers him another avenue of friendship, and then finally we see him with House. The first two scenes are a buildup to him and House and the way he interacts with him, the way House takes care of Wilson in his own way.
This story gets Wilson in a way that a lot of authors don't. It's haunting and a little sad, but it's also true to the Wilson on the show, the bits of him that we see when he's being honest with those around him instead of being Dr. James Wilson.
