I've mentioned before that Hard Core Logo lends itself very well to humor. This very short story is another stellar example. I could just quote the whole thing here--it's that short--but I'll settle for telling you that it's from something called The Inappropriate Elf Challenge, that it's hysterical, and that it's by an author who does humor better than just about anyone else.

Hey Shell! Thank you for this rec--which made me giggle and ultimately guilted me into writing an actual HCL story (Bricked In (http://www.trickster.org/speranza/cesper/Brickedin.html). Hee--I find it so funny that you think I'm too earthy and stable to--well, what is it, too stable to be into HCL, or too stable to be into elf-fic? Dude, I *wrote* two stories for the Inappropriate Elf Challenge! And I've been writing HCL/Homicide crossovers for three and a half years now...

And you're most welcome. Haven't had a chance to read your new HCL story yet as RL has been extremely sucky of late, but it's on my list...

Just, you seem like such a grown up! You have like, a real job where people depend on you!. Life or death things! And even the HCL/Homicide--yes, I do associate you rather strongly with Homicide, *g*-- but Homicide is a real show (er, says the girl who came out of Sentinel. *cough*.)
