A Gentleman’s Gentleman, by M. Fae Glasgow (NC-17)

Fandom: Lord Peter Wimsey
Pairing: Peter/Bunter
Author on LJ: Unknown
Why this must be read: Because if you’re one of those requesters of Peter/Bunter for Yuletide who discovered in January that you haven’t got it again, for a good few years this fic was your only place to go in search of solace. It remains by far the rudest piece of Wimsey fic on the web ;-) It won’t be to everyone’s taste – to be honest, it isn’t much to mine – but it has its market, and the author has had a go at something original.

Lord Peter waved his recently removed boutonnière in the vague and general direction of his confidential man and assistant. “He’s my right hand, couldn’t do a thing without him, don’t you know. He’s my only bastion against falling into the dread Abyss of utter Chaos.”

That is fantastic. I can't decide whether it quite fills me with joy, or breaks my heart.

How nice to see a rec for an M. Fae Glasgow story!

*grin* I should think having that as an example would leave people nervous about having to compete with it.

If I remember, this was the first Wimsey fic I ever encountered , and I remained mildly terrified for a while afterwards.
