Why this must be read:
Jen writes gorgeous fic in quite a few fandoms. This particular fic is lush and true to character and just a wonderful read. Here, Sam is being his usual picky-pain, but is rather drunk and not quite keeping his methods strictly on the job.
This fic is set post-1.08 and therefore contains spoilers for the first series only.
Sam is drunk. Too drunk. But at least he’s drunk for all the right reasons. He numbers them in his head as he drinks the whiskey he never had a taste for in the future. Sam likes order, likes things in straight lines and numbered lists. Keeping everything compartmentalised – nothing touching, personal and private completely separate.
