Why this must be read: it's a reincarnation fic - once more. This one takes us in a very strange universe: a circus. Mrs Dee tries very hard to protect her young son Tommy from the supposedly bad influence of Frank, the farm boy who joined the circus to live an adventure... But you know how love is, don't you?
It's a hopeful, beautiful short fic.
blakefancier's writing is very precise and the dialogues spot-on... There's magic and superstition and love.
Frank tried to ignore the kid. After all, he was new and he didn't want Bess- that's *Ms* Tudor to you- telling him to hit the curb. He couldn't go back home, even if there was something for him there, and he was only sixteen so there weren't many places that would take him, even if they did want him. And it wasn't like the kid was hurting anybody and he was born circus folk so he belonged more than Frank did.
