Why this must be read: Last time I did a Sports Night selection for crack_van, I included leiascully's Casey McCall Alongside Dan Rydell, in which Casey gets in between Dan and his love life and has cause to regret it. In this, its companion piece, we see the aftermath of those events: the talk, the regret, and the reconciliation. The bare bones of the story shape a tale we've seen many times before in one form or another, but leiascully's skill as a writer sets this apart, and turns it into something as special and lovely as the author herself.
