Why this must be read:
Because it's lyrical and more an atmosphere piece. It has what made Stargate really good : finding new worlds, finding new frontiers. Of course, it had to be trees eventually. Trees that are the one common things to most of the adventures of SG-1. It has also the wonderful parallel string of thought about Daniel and his childhood sand memories and Jack's forest and trees childhood memories. It's about how friendship and duty blend and how perfectly sometimes people come to work together.
