Rules by PFL (PG)

Fandom: THE PROFESSIONALS
Pairing: Bodie/Doyle

Why this must be read: PFL is one of my favourite top authors in Pros fandom. What I especially like in all her stories is that I have to read them two, three times to catch all the subtle turns of phrase, all the subtext, since each and every single page of her stories is like an arabesque, perfectly and beautifully crafted. This story is a coda to the episode Wild Justice: it has all that you want in a story, characterisation, plotting, sex...it's a pleasure to read and re-read :)

Beautifully crafted, yes. Deftly handled emotional nuance.

And Wild Justice . . . PFL turns base metal into gold here. ::takes episode out and shoots it::

I totally agree: "Rules" is a super read, complex and multi-layered with the action and the relationship matters nicely balanced. Plus, yeah, it sheds light into the dark corners of just why Bodie might have been behaving so strangely in Wild Justice.

And lucky us, PFL is not only one of our best writers, but she's also a current one. She prefers to publish in zines, but she's still producing great stories.

Love the PWP icon. Heh!
