Okay, folks, by frequent and popular demand we have switched over to an S2 style and set up tags by fandom and category (fanfic, fanvid, crossover, fandom overview). Now we need your help!


We have over 11,000 memories that need to be tagged, and we need your help to get this done. Please check out our Memories and let us know here if you are willing to take responsibility for one or more of these categories. Categories range from 1 entry to 300+ and any amount of help will be appreciated.

Fic tags should look like this: "fanfic, fandom"
Vid tags should look like this: "fanvid, fandom"
Crossover tags should look like this: "crossover, fanfic, fandom, fandom"

ETA: Please let me know when you've finished your category, so I can cross it off my list!



~ Moving forward we will not be saving recs via Memories, but we will continue to keep Fandom Overviews and Sign-up Sheets there since they are easier to peruse alphabetically.

~ We will not be adding character or pairing tags due to LJ's limit of 1,000 distinct tags (we have over 150 fandoms recced here to date, do the math), and because they would seriously clutter up the tag list.

~ PARDON OUR DUST. We're still tweaking the layout.

I can do DC Comics. Y'know, it's a shame we can't do both tagging and memories--as a watcher of this community, tags are easier to use, but as a reccer, memories are easier because you can look through alphabetically with them all on one page. It wouldn't actually be that difficult to do, once the tags are all done--you can set the tags so only mods can add new tags, but anyone can pick tags from a list when they post. It takes like an extra 30 seconds per post. If you add that to the responsibilities of the reccer and keep the memories protocol as it is now, we can have both.

ETA: someone's already agreed to do DC, how about Star Wars.
