Sacrifices Arc, by Lightning Wave. (R - NC-17)
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Draco/Harry and others (Het, Slash, Femme-Slash)
Length: about 3,000,000 words
Author on LJ:
lightningwave
Author Website: http://lightning.ffstories.net/ (You can also read it at Skyehawke, here:)
Why this must be read:
Because this is epic. Lightning Wave takes a small detail and spins it into a great and grand story of its own right. What if Harry had a twin who was thought to be the Boy-Who-Lived? She tells the story of the seven school years going from there.
No, don't run away. This is not a story full of clichés. I can't describe how great this story is. Wonderfully crafted, beautifully written, this story creates its own universe out of JKR's world.
The first book starts kind of slow. But latest by the second book it takes you on a whirlwind ride where you just can't stop. So, you need a bit of time when you want to read this, but it's well worth it. Personally, I read these books at least twice, some even more often.
Warnings: There are dark themes, especially later in the books. Mentions of child abuse, gore, violence, character death and sex.

Thanks for commenting. :)

Seriously, Lightning = way better writer than JKR. This is the Potterverse as it should always have been. (I especially love Regulus and Narcissa. And Minerva with Gryffindor's sword during the siege breaks my heart all over again every time I read it.)

Thank you so much for this amazing recc.
Re: the author - is she a published writer? Because if she isn't, she damn sure ought to be. She is absolutely amazing. I agree with another comment: this is the Potterverse that should have been. Or the one for adults.
Thanks so much.

I started reading when she's just started the 3rd book, so I could practically read a chapter a day. :) It made it a bit easier to dose, but some of hte cliffhangers were evil.
I don't know whether she's been published. But if she'd be I'd read her stories in a heart-beat. :)
