This is another "problem of returning home" fic, this one focusing on Susan. Susan was a woman by the time she left Narnia, and learned things that cannot be unlearned just because she's a girl again now. In this fic, we see her struggle to move past her grief and confusion. This is what Susan was punished for: the boys, the parties, and, yes, even the lipstick, and this fic shows us those things are her way of trying to throw herself back into life after the loss of Narnia.

Peter and Edmund start arguing about cricket and Lucy's laughter bounces through the halls while Susan tries desperately to find some part of the girl that was, before. What she liked before silk and quail's eggs and breathtaking horse races through the meadows and the scratch of stubble against her clavicle, hot lips against her ear.
