tl__dr and I'll be doing Death Note recs this month! I'm primarily a Light/L fan, but I've found a lot of great fic for many other slash and femslash pairings so I'll be trying to get in a little bit of everything before the month is out.
First up, here's some Light/Mikami!

Why this must be read:fox_in_exile's Light/Mikami arc is an AU where Light and Mikami meet before Light finds the notebook, progressing through where Mikami serves Kira all the way to where Kira falls, and it is sublime. Exquisite prose, emotionally rich, non-equivocating characterizations, wonderfully gripping sexual tension (and wonderfully intense sex)...it's all here. fox_in_exile's Mikami is one of the most complicated and self-aware I've read in a while, and her Light manages to be brilliant, megalomaniacal, compelling, and adorable, all at once. Their story is a bitter, compelling, and incredibly angsty one, and it rings very very true to the characters as they are and as they could be in canon. The fourth part features Near/Mello and Near/Mikami as well, and both are just as convincingly and heart-wrenchingly done as the Light/Mikami in the rest of the series. Check it out!
