Why this must be read: This was probably the first great DN series I ever read, and it's still definitely up there with my absolute favorites in this fandom. I'll be honest: I personally find Light/L set when Light does have his memories far more dynamic and interesting than Light/L during the Yotsuba arc - not that there isn't some great great fic written during that period, of course! - and the Door series is one of a very few in-depth, deliciously porny, and awfully convincingly characterized fics I've found that is initially set in the pre-Yotsuba era. Light and L are vicious and challenging and hot together here, and Keelywolfe's writing is both excellent and extremely delicious.
