Why this must be read:

T Verano has had a gen story featured in this community, and I get the fun of featuring one of her slash stories. The story telling is in Blair's voice, which is jerky and fractured. That works because our guys are in a jerky and fractured sort of mood, misunderstanding each other's motives in the aftermath of a stressful situation. Pitch perfect voices here; more of Blair's because we see things from his viewpoint, but when Jim opens his mouth he sure sounds like Jim. :-)

Hey, thanks for the rec! I've been flickering out more than in for the past week and am way behind (again; what else is new) in everything, but just got a lovely feedback on the fic because of this, which I hadn't realized you'd recced until that, which (the rec, not the not-realizing) makes me blush and beam, both *hugely* (and by the time I wend my way out of this messed-up sentence, you'll be ready for me to flicker back out again for a *good* long while, heh)... Okay, where was I? -- it's just really so very, very cool that you think it worked well enough to rec!
