Why this must be read:

"Get your ass moving, Clover," Chris had said.

If you've ever seen any of the Highlander movies or television episodes where Christopher Lambert guest starred, you'll understand why the mere idea of Connor McLeod being called "Clover" was enough to get me to read this story. It uses a concept that's unfortunately common in fanfiction, but so difficult to pull off: take a character from another fandom (in this case Chris), and make him an Immortal. The idea that spawned a thousand badfics.

But "Pixie Hunt" is successful because, much like "Singing With the Radio," it doesn't try to change the characters *themselves,* only the circumstances of the world they're in. What would Chris be like if he were an Immortal? Honestly, he'd probably be pretty much the same guy. This story takes the premise that Connor and Chris have been friends ever since Chris discovered he was an immortal, and every so often Chris comes around to bug him. Like he does to any of his other friends.

rhiannonhero wrote a primer for the television series Highlander, but it doesn't provide information on Connor McLeod. It will, however, give you more information on the world the Immortals live in. IMDb's page on the first of the Highlander movies should point you in the direction of more information.
