Hello! secondalto here driving the Buffy/Angel van again. Last time around I gave you all the Giles love I could. This time I'm focusing on what I consider rare pairings, I have mostly het, a few slash and two gen. Hopefully there will be something for everyone. Enjoy!!

Why this must be read: I fell in love with this fic the first time I read it. Idyll takes a simple premise, what if Willow had died in "Seeing Red" instead of Tara, and turns it into a gorgeous character study of both Spike and Tara. They develop a friendship based on shared heartache and understanding. They help each other deal with The First in unusual ways. It's a sweet progression from friendship into something more as Tara comes to LA to help recorporealize Spike. Idyll takes her palette of language and paints a gorgeous picture.

Oh, wow. Thank you so much for this rec -- this fic was a thing of beauty. I will tell you, even though the Buffyverse is one of my greatest loves ever, I typically have little to no interest in reading fanfic about it (weird, I know). The premise sounded intriguing though, so I clicked the link. I am really glad I did.
