Certitude by Justin Glasser (R)
Hello! I am
wendelah1, your June driver for The X-Files. Although my preference is for gen, I will read anything if it is well-written. I like interesting plots, rather than character-driven pieces, and I'll choose angst over romance every time. I plan to recommend a wide variety of stories this month for your reading pleasure.
Fandom: THE X-FILES
Pairing: none, Mulder/Scully UST
Length: 106k
Author on LJ:
synchronik
Author Website: The Works of Justin Glasser, for TXF, and Joe's Eats and Christian Bookshop, for everything else.
Why this must be read:
Like many of the series' myth-arc stories, Fight the Future had a big fat plot-hole in it just waiting for the fan fiction writers. This is a gripping tale that provides one possible answer to what happened in Antarctica after Mulder and Scully were taken off the ice. What if the Syndicate had set-up Scully's abduction and engineered their rescue? What if their "rescue" turned out to be something else instead, something far more sinister, something far more evil?
