Why this must be read:

Apart from my mild compulsion to complete the triangle of inter-band crossover pairings with something in the MCR/PatD line, this story presents a really interesting look at two of the quieter members of their respective bands. There's even less canon support for this pairing than for the last one I recced, but Bob and Jon are the lone Chicago natives of their respective bands, and this story catches the two of them in their hometown--Jon between tours, Bob forced by injuries to stay behind while his band goes on without him. The story centers on photographs, and like them, it captures a moment between these two characters.




He chances a wary look over his shoulder, and Jon smiles at him. "You really hate it, don't you?" Jon asks.

"What, photos? That's why I said I did, yeah." Bob takes a quick last drag and flicks the butt out the window, blowing the smoke out after it and sliding the sash back down.

"Everyone says they hate having their picture taken," Jon says. "But it's just that they don't like disappointment."

"I guess."

"You just don't like it at all, though."

"No," Bob says. He already wants another cigarette. "Don't see the point."
