Why this must be read:
This is a story about the small betrayals, and how long it takes to forgive someone; how long it takes to fall in love, and how messy it is once you do. Cuddy lunches with Stacy, and whether they talk about House or not, he's a huge part of the silences between them. I like the slow build of this story, and all the things that the characters don't say. It's House/Cuddy, with House/Stacy in the interstices, but I think of it as Cuddy and Stacy: two powerful female characters, who have dealt with House in such different ways.
