Why this must be read:

I love fics that give us a look at the characters who don’t get quite as much screentime as the leads or the regulars. It’s great when fic can give the secondary or even tertiary characters more depth, layers that we’d never otherwise see. Lint does just that with Racetrack, his point-of-view character for this story. He takes an incident from season 4’s Escape Velocity, an incident that was perhaps only meant by the show writers to give more punch to Tyrol’s later actions, and makes it so much more real by letting us see it through the eyes of Racetrack and her ECO. He gives us a glimpse of what it must be like for these pilots to face death on a daily basis and how they react to something that hits a little too close to home.

But anyway. *ahem* I love this fic. You did such a good job of getting into Maggie's head, the prickliness on the outside and the soft center of her and the delayed PTSD reaction is just perfect. :D
