Half-Life, by: Jennghis Kahn. (NC-17)
Fandom: STARGATE SG-1
Pairing: Daniel/Sam, Daniel/Jack, Jack/Sam
Length: ~ 3,250 words
Author on LJ:

Why this must be read:
Daniel, Jack and Sam survive a Goa'uld attack along with a couple of other survivors. This story is a rather dark and bleak look on what happens after. Both Jack and Sam turn toward Daniel to relieve some of the burdens they carry. Daniel tries to cope as well. Very well written, excellent characterization, this story made me ache for those characters.

He misses the sun the most. That surprises him actually. He just figured he'd miss his books or his lab or even something simple yet still man-made, like coffee or donuts. Instead, he misses the sun. The heat on his face. The brightness. Especially the brightness.
It's dark in space. All the time. There's no day or night. Time isn't measured in revolutions of the Earth nor by seasons. Time is man-made. The universe doesn't care.
