Hi, I'm piloting the van for Highlander this month. Highlander has been a full-time Crack Van fandom since the beginning in 2003 with over 350 recs! Being an older fandom many wonderful stories are tragically disappearing from the web, so I'll be concentrating mainly on previously unrec'd tales for which I can find links.

When I signed up for Highlander, I did so out of a desire to rec Paula's fabulous Armed Intervention series, but Ishafel beat me to it in May (here). So I decided to rec another favorite by her. Unlike Armed Intervention, this one is short. It is also a heartbreaking story about the ultimate expression of friendship.

I was also shocked, which is why I signed up to rec. I'm glad there are at least two of us who recognize what a great series it is. Hopefully our double rec will get more people to read it.
