Why this must be read:


MIkey is, imho, one of the best authors writing in the LoM fandom.  Her characterisations, especially of Gene and Sam, are outstanding.  

This particular fic is one of the very first I ever read in this fandom and I was instantly hooked.  The story is mainly told through Annie's eyes as she watches the growing attraction between Gene and Sam, worried that she will lose Sam to Gene whilst fighting her own attraction to the Guv.

At 8 chapters, it's not exactly a drabble but well worth the time you invest in reading it.  Mikey's writing style and story telling skill pull you in immediately and the twists and turns of the three way relationship are mesmeric.

A truly great fic - go and enjoy it.  I wish I could be you reading it again for the first time!
