Why this vid kicks ass:

Do you have any Kleenex handy? You'll need it for this video, which wonderfully uses the clips and music to create an elegaic and bittersweet atmosphere. I found myself tearing up in several spots. It has great effects and coloring, too, which serve to highlight the emotional quality of the vid. The lyrics are especially evocative of the Mulder/Scully relationship, especially all the times one of them was in the hospital, on the brink of death: "You got wires, going in/ You got wires, coming out of your skin/ You got tears, making tracks/ I got tears that are scared of the facts/ Running, down corridors, through automatic doors/ Got to get to you, got to see this through"

I am obsessed with this video, and have been for days now. I'm so glad you recced it here. The vidder's LJ name is hopelessly_lazy, which I know because she posted the video here on the X-files comm (http://community.livejournal.com/xfiles/2178823.html) a while back. This was her first XF video -- she needs to do more! The song is SO perfect for Mulder and Scully, and the scenes she chose and the way she edited the video are amazing. It made me quite weepy. ::scurrys off to re-watch::
