The Tightrope Walker by Caro Dee (FRAO)
Hi, I'm
snycock, and I'm going to be driving The Sentinel van for September. I'm fairly new to the fandom, but one of the things that has really impressed me is how active it is, especially since the first run on television ended over ten years ago and it hasn't been shown much in syndication since then. So in addition to reccing some of my favorites, I'm also going to highlight some of the communities and events that keep The Sentinel fandom thriving.
Fandom: THE SENTINEL

Why this must be read:
Caro posted this during the last round of
mmom, and I think it's a brilliantly complex and layered view of Jim. She does a stunning job exploring how Jim deals with his control issues while still acknowledging the deep love between him and Blair. It's angsty and painful and heartwarming, all at once. A fantastic read.

And, yes, you did rec me back in July - 'Scuse Me While I Kiss This Guy. It was a terrific rec, thank you very much! Totally made my day. I'm never sure what the etiquette is about authors thanking reccers on crack_van, so I kinda stayed under the radar. But I was grinning like a loon all day...*G*

Good one.

I think I like this one so much, though, because the love Jim has for Blair comes through so clearly, it mitigates his other behaviors for me.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
