The Tightrope Walker by Caro Dee (FRAO)

Hi, I'm [livejournal.com profile] snycock, and I'm going to be driving The Sentinel van for September. I'm fairly new to the fandom, but one of the things that has really impressed me is how active it is, especially since the first run on television ended over ten years ago and it hasn't been shown much in syndication since then. So in addition to reccing some of my favorites, I'm also going to highlight some of the communities and events that keep The Sentinel fandom thriving.

Fandom: THE SENTINEL
Pairing: Jim/Blair, Jim/Original Character
Length: 3k
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] carodee
Author Website: Caro Dee's Insatiable Site
Why this must be read:

Caro posted this during the last round of [livejournal.com profile] mmom, and I think it's a brilliantly complex and layered view of Jim. She does a stunning job exploring how Jim deals with his control issues while still acknowledging the deep love between him and Blair. It's angsty and painful and heartwarming, all at once. A fantastic read.

Oh, but Caro can spin a character right on his ear and yet defy you to say he's out of character. This has echos of her "Insatiable" although *this* Jim does still have a line he doesn't cross.

Good one.
