allyndra, and I'll be taking my first time behind the wheel, driving the Buffy-verse van this month. FYI about this month's recs: 1) I'm a big Xander fangirl, so these will tend to be Xander-centric, and 2) I never bookmark fics, so these are not only stories that I loved, but stories that have stuck with me days, months, years after I read them.

Why this must be read:
Xander/Oz stories are thin on the ground, but I wouldn't tell you to run out and read a fic just because it has a rare pairing. But, oh, you should run out and read this, because it's Xander/Oz done well. Beginning the day after the episode Halloween, this story presents us with a believably teenaged Xander, fumbling his way through new feelings, just as awkwardly and humorously as you would hope for from this character. The writing is entertaining and very much in keeping with the early seasons, and the structure is unusual and interesting.
WHY I SUCK, by Xander Harris
Thesis Statement: I am a completely sucktastic excuse for a human being because I am a traffic hazard, because my Halloween costume might have turned me gay, and because I lost my outline for my English paper, which is a class I am flunking.
Go. Read. Love. Tell the author.
