jedi_em, and I'm happy to be driving the Star Wars van again for the month of October. I'm one of those diplomatic (some might say crazy) readers that likes a little bit of everything in Star Wars fanfiction, whether it be fic based on the Prequel Trilogy, the Original Trilogy, or the Extended Universe; het, slash, or gen fic; canon or AU pairings. So I hope to give readers a generous smattering of all kinds of fic recs this month. :)

Why this must be read:
This is a completed, two-part fanfic featuring the (unfairly) oft-maligned Obi-Wan/Padmé pairing, that combines a fantastic AU concept with a bit of intrigue and mystery and some truly hot sex. This is 'Obidala' the way I like it: tender but rough, angsty but hopeful, and not sickeningly sappy or fluffy in the least. The writing is superb, and gives us an actual plot wrapped around the sex.
And there's a truly wonderful twist near the end, too. Not to be missed.
