Home Again by Tori Morris (PG-13)
Fandom: DEEP SPACE NINE
Pairing: Sisko/Kasidy
Length: 6k
Author on LJ: unknown
Author Website: unknown
Why this must be read:
Poor Captain Sisko. He's played with power and conviction (and hotness) by the talented (and hot) Avery Brooks. He has enough internal and external conflicts brought on by his roles as loving single father, clueless boyfriend, kickass warrior and reluctant religious prophet to make other characters weep with envy. But still Sisko does not get the fanfic.
Which is all the more reason to cherish the Sisko gems that come along, no matter how small. In Home Again, Tori conveys the real human costs on Sisko and his immediate family of how the series ended. Every time I read it, her words make my heart ache, but this possible future rings so true that I can't deny or forget it.
