Just as there's not enough fic out there for Owen Mercer, there's really not enough fic for Jack Knight, or Shade, or the many wonderful characters that James Robinson introduced during his run on Starman.
Smitty takes the classic "five things" meme and uses it to take a look at how Jack's life could have taken some very different turns. It's five little "but what if?" moments of the very best kind -- Robinson (or even Geoff Johns) could not have written it better or truer.
