Simply put, this is a gorgeously written short piece that focuses on the final moments shown in Return of the Jedi, wherein Vader saves Luke and is himself saved in turn. The perspective switches between Luke and Vader and even the Force (trust me, it works) in the first three chapters, giving new meaning to a scene most fans have probably watched too many times to count.
