Why this must be read:
Another great Palpatine fic (he’s so much fun to read and write – the most evil characters usually are) that demonstrates just how damn good Palpatine was at manipulating Anakin. The latter never stood a chance, did he?
I love the inclusion of a bit of a back story for Palpatine, nicely demonstrating the parallels between his past relationship with his wife and Anakin’s with his own wife. Add in the Anakin/Obi-Wan angle and it’s so easy to see how Palpatine didn’t have to reach far for ammunition in aiding his seduction of Anakin to the dark side.
