Why this must be read:
Terimaru writes this from Cath's POV the morning after the night before.
Catherine's feelings for Nick struggle for victory over her cynical outlook on men, and the inner-dialogue is great as we see her conscience battling it out, all the while Nick is laying in bed.
The writing is sweet and romantic but has an underlying angsty edge to it that just captivates you. And although Nick doesn't feature in it heavily, what there is of him is not pussy-whipped, ass-kissing, sobbing-into-his-hands Nick - like a lot of portayals of him in fandom. Instead he's strong, stubborn and determined to show Catherine he isn't like the other men from her past and he's here to stay.
