I like gen, and it was really well-written, but so depressing, wow. Twisty-chesty and rough. Maybe a bit more warning in the summary?

Hmmm. Thanks for the reminder that I am posting outside the usual famdon haunts here. As this fandom goes, this is pretty mild in the depression catagory. After all, Sam is alive and dealing with his issues at the end, but I will take the reminder to heart and make sure to post a heads up on some of the really over the top stories I have on tap for later in the month.

Good choice! I like where she took this story; sometimes I get weary of the Sam!bashing that goes on in the fandom but Dak kept this tightly plotted, it was really a gripping "can't put it down read"

Yeah, LoM fandom may have skewed my perspective a bit, or maybe I am just sick, but I thought I was starting off gently considering where I want to go with the rest of the month. I should probably write I bit more about the darker ones though. This fandom just does such absolutely wonderful twisty darkness.

I just loved this story. It was one of those that had me on the comm every chance I got, waiting for more. Yet it is, as you say, tightly written, I was surprised at how few words it was when I went back and read it, because there seemed to be so much more story than that.
