Why this must be read:

Usually, a PWP is about sex and if you're lucky, even about the kind you - the reader - like.

If you're not so lucky, you might end up with a PWP that leaves you stone cold and bored - in the best case. In the worst case it might squick you, probably makes you angry because of the "character abuse" or the sickeningly sweetness dripping out of it. Either way, you won't like it, let alone "believe" it, and you won't see Jim/Blair at all.

This story is one of my favorite PWPs because, behind the "Blair gets turned on by something Jim does"-scenario, it's about so much more then simply sex without plainly "telling" us what to think.

It's a great mix, managing to combine hot images, a humorous touch and a naturally flowing "voice", power-play (emphasis on play) and a feeling of gentle caring, all without twisting the characters into something unrecognizable. I saw Jim and Blair, not two characters *named* Jim and Blair.

It left a very satisfying "yes, I can see this" feeling with me. I simply loved the unexpected twist on the end because it tells the *real* story beyond the PWP, leading it from "only sex-scene" to "like this is their relationship".
