Six Lessons Behind the Purple Dress by Quietcontrary (PG for suggestiveness)

Another fun, new story!

Fandom: THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN
Pairing: none, gen
Length: ~2,000 words

Why this must be read:

Well, first off, she wrote it from a prompt I have her, so I already have a selfish interest in promoting this, but more to the point - it's a delightful story.

Quietcontrary is quickly becoming one of the best gen writers in the fandom.  She has a wonderful grasp of the characters and of the old west setting, and she writes cleanly and well.  This particular story is an exploration of the question of how Ezra managed to pull off the highly-amusing 'purple-dress episode' from "Working Girls" - where Ezra dresses up as a woman and sings at the 'bar' in the 'saloon' of Wickestown.  Each of the other six members of the seven bring out some detail of Ezra's adventure - and his past adventures!  Amusing and light, and the Ezra-voice is on the money!

Yes, it's a great story and she writes all of them so well. All of the guys are in character and approach Ezra's actions in character as well. I really enjoyed it.
