Why this must be read:

This is a great glimpse into a possible future for Merlin and Arthur. What impresses me the most about this story is that Merlin and Arthur are still very much Merlin and Arthur, but older versions who have been through a lot both good and bad. The depiction of a more evolved version of their friendship is just perfect. I can easily see Merlin and Arthur being like this and having this exact relationship in the future.

This story made me so happy and like any glimpse into their future, it made me want to find some way for them all to live happily ever.
