Why this must be read: Oh,llassah. She has this way with words that is a good way to have and very enviable and in fact envied by me right now. This untitled giftfic is very her: lush, moody, gorgeous-in-the-way-of-an-art-film writing spiked by a) grittiness -- matter-of-factness? Something very blunt about the characters and the way they live that contrasts nicely with the aforementioned lushness -- and b) holy hell hotness. I like this combo! Very much so, yes.
[Also, it's Vecchio-POV Ray/Ray with yearning and some angst. And there's a list. These are things that make me happy like if I were a puppy and you were rubbing my belly in just the right place. (That is, very, very happy indeed.)]

There’s just Kowalski, with his stupid fucking laugh, and his smile, and the shadows his eyelashes make on his cheekbones when his eyes slip half shut. There’s the sickly yellow streetlights, a thermos of coffee, and the certain knowledge that he’s gonna jerk off thinking about this, thinking about their enforced intimacy and strangely weighted silences.
