LIFE ON MARS / LITERARY (green cortina - All Ages)
Title: I'm a Stranger Here Myself
Author: DrayceVixen
Pairing: slight hint of Sam/Gene
Length: 2158 words
Author on LJ: draycevixen
Author Website: Draycevixen at the Collators' Den
Why this must be read: The Test Card Girl is no more than an offstage cameo in this story, and it certainly isn't mad!Sam, but this may be the single best crossover I have yet to see in Life on Mars. I won't tell you exactly what it is a crossover with. One of the most fun parts of reading this seeing how far into it you get before everything clicks. If you know your classics well, you can get it from the style alone, Drayce is that good.
Even if you don't guess the narrator before the end, you will still laugh at this outsider's look into the crazy world that is 1973 Manchester CID.

Erm... thank you.
I never really expected anyone to even continue reading past the first couple of paragraphs when I posted this story for the Ficathon, so I'm chuffed and frankly amazed that you've recced it.

This was probably the second story I decided on when picking recs, after fawsley's With Friends Like These, I just had to wait for crossover day.

What a fantastic rec! I read this story three times; the first, I was wondering and curious; the second, I was amazed and overwhelmed; the third was like returning to a well loved tome.
Awesome!
