Why this must be read: post!war fic divided in 6 parts. It's brilliant and the author is one of the greatest around. His stories have perfect characterizations.
"What am I going to say when I bring this stuff out? 'Hey, that's a Nazi dining set, Goering probably ate sauerkraut off that fork.' It's a little bit creepy," she said, though her tone of voice wasn't particularly condemnatory. "You'll say that your wonderful, brave, handsome husband went to Europe, kicked Nazi ass, and brought home a souvenir that's useful around the house as well as nice to look at," Harry said. "I mean, I could've got you a flag, but we can hardly hang a big ol' swastika up over the mantelpiece."
