Why this should be read:

I'd never read a Gaara/Lee story like Never Too Late before but it called to me. It's incredibly tight characterization, taken from Rock Lee's POV, may be the only reason it's so believable but as a girl raised on Harlequins, it was poignant and sad - a 2 hankie read with a wonderful happy ending. It's so easy to see how lost Lee would be without Gai to love and notice him. And the way the author makes the loudest chunin besides Naruto disappear in a crowd - heartbreaking. As is the way the author makes Gaara - socially inept Gaara - the one who notices. Ahh, just try Never Too Late.
