Why this must be read:

I Want to Believe and the excitement surrounding the movie brought some amazing authors out of retirement, this is one of them. Adrienne retired from fic writing about six years ago, but came back with vengeance in 2008 (you can check out her older stuff here at Gossamer).

This story is short, sweet, sexy, and yet not so syrup-y it will send the reader into a diabetic coma upon reading. It is a short fill-in-the-blank for those "missing" 3 hours between the phone call at Mulder and Scully's arrival at the crime scene in the movie. And what a way to celebrate the removal of that awful beard!

"I'm so glad..." Scully slid the razor down his skin, leaving a
clear and precise path down the side of his face. "...that you're
getting rid of this thing."

"I thought you loved my rugged good looks," Mulder said as she
swished the razor in the sink.

"I do," she said, taking out another swath of growth. "But I
don't love the beard burn on my thighs."

He laughed, holding back the urge to give her a shaving cream
kiss. Instead, he slipped his hands up her bare legs under her
robe. They slid over the back of her blue cotton bikini panties.
He squeezed her bottom and she gave him a look.
